For over three decades, the Parent-Infant Center has provided high quality child care to the families who live and work in the diverse neighborhoods of West Philadelphia.

Lia Wilson

Lead Teacher

Children see the world in such a different way, and I love watching them grow.

For Lia Wilson, teaching at PIC is a family affair. Her husband Brooks Wilson is the Lead Teacher in the Grasshoppers classroom and their daughter Robin is in PIC's early learning program.

Lia loves working with young children because each day is different and always fun. She finds a great deal of inspiration from her colleagues and feels lucky to be working with such talented teachers.

For Lia, helping children connect with nature is important. She believes in the benefits of incorporating natural materials into the classroom, as well as gettting children outside to enjoy green spaces.

Lia and her family live in West Philadelplhia and she enjoys being a part of the PIC community as a teacher and a mom. When not at PIC, Lia loves biking, knitting, and playing with her daughter.
