PIC Spring Plant Sale: Annuals & Hanging Baskets  


For fantastic color and fast results, nothing beats a beautiful array of annuals. These plants will last until the first heavy frost, and they make great choices for filling in perennial beds, window boxes and planters. Our beautiful hanging baskets make a dazzling display and are perfect presents for Mother's Day!

    Annuals (4.5" pots)
  DahliaDwarf Dahlias are colorful, compact plants that bloom continuously from early to late summer. Easy to grow. 6-12" sun
  Dracaena spikes grass – Great for planters, drought tolerant, can grow up to 2' high sun
  Dragon Wing begonia – Great for landscape or containers. Heat tolerant. Easy to root cuttings for more plants. sun, part shade
  Geranium – Red or pink. Hardy, full and prolific bloomers that flower all summer long. They need at least 4 hours direct sunlight daily to flourish. Pinch back faded flowers to encourage new blooms, 12-20" sun, part shade
  HeliotropeBushy plants with green veined leaves and large clusters of purple vanilla scented flowers. Blooms from summer to early fall, 10-12" sun, part shade
 

Million BellsA blue petunia look-alike with flowers that open to about the size of a quarter. Plants are trailing, with neat, compact foliage and will bloom up to the first hard freeze sun

  Wave Petunia Purple, red or white wave. Ground cover petunia; low maintenance, very heat and drought tolerant once established, 4-6" sun
  Sweet potato vine - Lime green or dark purple. Easy and quick vine to grow with colorful trailing foliage. Tolerates heat and cascades beautifully over the edge of containers, 5-12" spreads up to 5' sun
  Vinca vine – Variegated trailing foliage. A low-maintenance vine that grows quickly once established; great for controlling soil erosion on shady slopes and for under trees and shrubs. sun
     
    Market Packs (6-packs of bedding plants)
  Alyssum –White, cold hardy tiny, sweet-smelling flowers will bloom throughout the growing season. Drought tolerant and heat resistant. Thrives in almost any soil. sun
  BegoniaBronze leaves, red or white flowers, looks best in mass plantings, 8-10" sun, part shade
  Coleus – Wizard Mix. Fast-growing, colorful, variegated leaves. Great for containers, hanging baskets, 12-18" shade, part sun
  Flowering Vinca – Punch Pink, low maintenance, drought tolerant, high impact. 10-12" sun, part shade
  Impatiens – Pink, red, salmon, or white. A must for any shade garden, impatiens blooms from early summer until frost, 10-12" shade, part sun
  Lobelia – Blue, continuous bloom, trails nicely. Dependable, popular bedding plant that also does well in containers, 8-10" sun
  Marigold – Tangerine. Simple, hardy, and productive. To bloom well, they need at least 6 hours of direct sun each day. Deadhead during the growing season. 10-12"
  Portulaca – Sundance Mix. Heat and drought tolerant succulent, also known as Moss Rose. Use in hot, dry sites, along paved surfaces and over walls, 6" sun
  Salvia – Red spikes. Salvias are perennials usually grown as annuals. Durable, drought tolerant, blooms early summer to fall, 18-24" sun
  Snapdragon – Rocket Mix. Blooms all summer. An old garden favorite; deadhead spent flowers to prolong bloom, 12" sun
     
    Hanging Baskets (8" diameter)
  Double Impatiens – Peach flowers, variegated leaves. If plants get lanky in mid-summer, cut back by half for a new round of blooms shade, part sun
  Fan Flower (Scaevola) –Blue cascading flowers that bloom continuously. Loves heat. Feed iron sulfate to deepen flower color. sun
  Fuchsia – Vibrant purple corollas and pink sepals that are attractive to hummingbirds. Blooms from spring to fall; heat tolerant shade, part sun
  Ivy Geranium – Red blooms fill out a hanging basket beautifully – just make sure the water drains freely out of the bottom of the container. sun, part shade
  Million Bells –Abundant apricot, mini-petunia-like flowers that open to about the size of a quarter. Plants are trailing, with neat, compact foliage and will bloom up to the first hard freeze. sun
  Spider Plant – A great indoor plant, tolerant of low light and cleans the air too! shade
  Wave Petunia – Blue. Pinch spent flowers for continuous blooms. sun
  Mixed Annual Basket – Extra large 10" basket filled with a variety of blooms to last all summer long. A real Mother's Day treat!sun
