Mark your calendars for Friday and Saturday, May 1-2, to pick up your hand-picked order at our biggest event of the year: PIC’s Spring Plant Sale! You can support PIC’s scholarship fund while you select from dozens of different annuals, perennials, colorful hanging baskets (just in time for Mother’s Day), herbs and vegetables. Last year alone we raised over $23,000 to help neighborhood families afford high-quality child care.

For best selection, please pre-order before April 13. Order forms are available here on our website or just call PIC (215-222-5480) and we would be glad to mail a form to you! PIC’s Plant Sale has something for everyone.  We offer some of the newest hybrids for the experienced gardener and plenty of hardy standards for the novice.  No room for a garden in your apartment? Pick up one of our KidPots – a one-of a-kind flower pot hand-painted by a PIC kid. It’s sure to make you smile.

We’ll have your plants ready for pick up on Friday, May 1, from 3-6 pm and Saturday, May 2, from 10 am – 3 pm. Leave some time to browse – we always have a few specials that don’t appear on the order form, plus delicious coffee and treats at our bake sale. Don’t know what to plant? One of our green-thumbed parent volunteers will be on hand to consult.

If you’re near the Penn campus and not able to make it to PIC, we’ll also be selling KidPots, herbs and hanging baskets on Locust Walk at 36th Street on Friday, May 1, from 11 am – 2pm.  Please stop by to chat with our experienced pre-kindergarten plant lovers and flower pot artists.
