One more vote for kids!

FS Investments votes YES for kids!

We are so very grateful to our friends at FS Investments for their continued commitment to children by returning as a Presenting Sponsor of ArtStart, PIC's annual fall fundraiser.

Strong sponsorship from FS Investments and other area businesses allows us to give more children the highest quality child care, help families better afford tuition, and remain a socio-economically diverse community of families.

We thank FS Investments for their sponsorship and for making a meaningful impact on the lives of Philadelphia children and their families.

This year’s ArtStart event is celebrating the impact of high quality early learning and after school programming. All proceeds from ArtStart are dedicated to PIC’s tuition assistance program.

What is PIC’s tuition assistance program?
In 1986, a group of PIC parents established a fund in order to help maintain a diversity of socio-economic levels in our classrooms. Today, PIC's tuition assistance program awards grants to families whose income is less than 300% of the federal poverty level. It also offsets the cost of tuition for children of PIC teachers and staff and closes the ever-growing funding gap that exists between government subisidy and the true cost of care for early learning and school-age children.

PIC believes strongly that all children, regardless of income or zip code, should have access to high quality care.

We recently expanded our enrollment of children whose families are eligible for subsidized child care through Child Care Information Services (CCIS) and Pennsylvania's Pre-K Counts initiative. Money raised for tuition assistance allows us to continue to enroll more children from economically disadvantaged backgrounds.
