Alumni

After providing high-quality child care for more than 25 years, we have alumni across the region and around the world. Whether your PIC alum is a kindergartner or graduate student, tell us where you are and what’s happening with your family. Please include year of enrollment (or we will guess!).

Leslie Gaines reports that son Arman Dezfuli-Arjomandi ('94) is an eighth grader at Friends Select School, along with PIC friends Heather Silver and Claire Cocroft. Arman participated last year in the Congressional Youth Leadership Council's state conference and is a fan of World of Warcraft online.

"War" toys are not among our playthings at PIC, but that hasn't hampered the talents of Graham Wicas ('91), who won a gold medal last spring at a fencing competition in South Korea. Grant was a student at the Fencing Academy of Philadelphia in Powelton Village.

Dan and Jean McCoubrey report that daughter Kate is a sophomore at Yale, Sam is in a life skills classroom at Roxborough High and "baby" Ben (born too late to enjoy the old neighborhood) is a 6th grader at Germantown Friends School. Barbara Ventresco and Jere Behrman tell us that Julia Behrman ('85) has graduated from Williams College, where sister Emily ('87) is a sophomore.

Artemis Zavalaingos ('92) is now in high school and brother Takis is in 4th grade. They had a mini PIC reunion last summer in Athens, Greece, with Elizabeth ('93) and Madeleine Jacobs ('98).

Megan Holland ('91) is a first year at Brandeis; Sara Gelles ('89) is at Amherst College, where she is planning a career in major league baseball. Singer-songwriter Mutlu Onaral ('80) is frequently heard on WXPN. Michael Egnal ('86) graduated from Penn and is at Georgetown Law School.

Amy Kleger ('86) graduated from Penn State and is working for a large ad agency in New York City. Leigh Senderowicz ('87) is majoring in anthropology at Wesleyan and spent a semester in Cameroon, West Africa. Ben Shell ('85) is working on a micro-lending project in Mongolia. Closer to home, Marlo Reynolds ('87) is throwing his creative energies into the SCRIBE Video Center here in West Philly.

From Nancy and Peter Grove: "Hi everybody! Marian's ('87) a junior in college and Evan ('85) lives in NYC and has a band: www.theanthemsound.com. Peter still teaches at Friends' Central School and Nancy is still with the gov't in mass transit. We often think of you!"
