Parent involvement is an integral part of the PIC community and all families who enroll agree to make an investment of time in the work that we do. Parents volunteer in classrooms, serve on committees or the board of directors, perform simple maintenance tasks or tackle large-scale improvement projects. Parent participation not only helps us keep costs down, but many families make lifelong friends at PIC while working together on projects.
The Parent Participation Program (PPP) volunteer requirement is 24 hours per year for full-day families, 12 hours for half-day families, and 10 hours for families enrolled in the After School Program. Hours are prorated for single-parent families. Families who choose not to participate pay $15 per hour to fulfill their annual requirement.
