Lights, Camera, Auction!

... is this year’s theme for ArtStart! October 20th is the date of this fall’s social event of the season and St. Andrew’s Chapel is the place.

At our first planning meeting, the event committee (in formation--meaning there's still time to join!) worked out this year’s theme, along with other new ideas for our fall fundraiser.

Our committee members to date are Chris Bole (Sunshines), Mariclair Partee Carlsen (Bumblebees), Lisa Falcone (Bumblebees and Dragontails), Jan Koziara (Wild Things), Kim Lippman (Wild Things), and Palak Singhee (Moonbeams).

Event chair Mary Beth Fedirko (Sunshines) is looking for additional members for the planning committee. Looking to learn more and be a part of the social event of the season? Email Mary Beth for more information.

The event committee is strongly supported by PIC's Development Manager Karen Stachelek. Please email Karen with any questions you have about fundraising at PIC.

How will ArtStart be successful? With YOUR help!

Now, during the dog days of summer, is when the planning begins. With your help, we will reach our fundraising goal of $35,000.

ArtStart supports the Parent-Infant Center’s tuition assistance program. It was started in 1986 by PIC families for families who could not otherwise manage the full cost of quality early childhood education.

Parents and teachers, from the infant rooms to the After-School Program, to all our alumni families, and our community friends, are the reason each year’s event is memorable in its own right. Your talents, time and connections make ArtStart reflect the caring and uniqueness of our community.

Who Makes ArtStart? You Make ArtStart!

All of the items offered at the auction are donated either by PIC families, alumni or community supporters. Donations can be made in a variety of ways. It could be as easy as asking a restaurant you frequent to donate a gift card, asking your employer to be a sponsor, or asking a colleague to offer up a pair of season tickets to a sports event.

Download the donor request form to assist you in your efforts to solicit donations. We can't wait to see what items turn up on the auction table!
