For over three decades, the Parent-Infant Center has provided high quality child care to the families who live and work in the diverse neighborhoods of West Philadelphia.

In my role on the Board, I want to help PIC continue to support and develop outstanding teachers.

Kate Stanley is an attorney at Pepper Hamilton LLP, where she specializes in white collar criminal defense.

She and her husband Doug have a two-year-old son named Max. She feels very lucky that he is under the care and guidance of the dedicated teachers in the Bumblebee infant/young toddler classroom. Kate and her family will welcome a new baby very soon.

Having grown up with a mother who is an early childhood educator, Kate knows the importance of quality early childhood education to the healthy development of children.

Since they enrolled Max at PIC, Kate and Dough have already seen how the care, love, and support he gets from his teachers, the administration, and the other parents in his program have contributed to his growth and well-being.

Seeing Max eagerly reach out to hug his teachers each morning is one of the best moments of Kate's day and, as a board member, it will be her goal to help PIC continue to support and develop outstanding teachers.
