For over three decades, the Parent-Infant Center has provided high quality child care to the families who live and work in the diverse neighborhoods of West Philadelphia.

Johanna Morales

Head Start Partnership, PHMC

I have seen PIC grow throughout the years and this program has always set the bar high when it comes to quality child care.

Johanna Morales is the Lead Education Coordinator for Philadelphia Head Start Partnership, a program of the Public Health Management Corporation (PHMC). In her current position, Johanna coordinates mental health services, disabilities services, school readiness, and kindergarten transition for students.

Prior to her work at PHMC, Johanna worked at the Parent-Infant Center where she had the privilege of opening up the Moonbeam toddler classroom as the Lead Teacher.

Johanna is thrilled to return to PIC as a Board member. In her words, "The commitment to the children and this program by the teachers and staff are second to none, and I would love to be involved in making sure that commitment continues."

While at PIC, Johanna served on the Diversity Committee and is excited to return to the committee in her new role as a board member.

In addition to supporting PIC in its mission, Johanna is on the Board of First Book Philadelphia and a co-chair of the Storybook Society, its young friends group. Johanna is also a member of the Lemon Society at Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation, Young and Involved Philadelphia (YIP), and a young friend of the Art Museum of Philadelphia.
