Located
near the University of Pennsylvania's campus in West Philadelphia,
The
Parent-Infant Center is on 42nd Street between Spruce
and Locust streets, and easily accessible by public
transportation. You’ll find the center’s
main entrance at 42nd and Locust.
The
Center provides ample indoor and outdoor play space. Our classrooms
are sunny and welcoming. You'll find cozy nooks for quiet talk and
creative play, separate rooms for napping, spaces for storage and
warming of lunches, and private conference rooms for adults. There
is a large playroom equipped with a climber, mats for jumping and
bouncing, as well as assorted cars, wagons, and other modes of "transportation."
Outside,
the children play in a large, safe, fenced playground that includes
a colorful climber, large sandbox, children's gardens, and plenty
of room for general running around. We also explore the neighborhood
with frequent trips to the fire station, pet store, library, and
University attractions such as the Biology Pond and the Button,
an oversized, child-friendly piece of outdoor sculpture.
